DTS Headphone:X virtual surround sound demo

To coincide with the release of the sci-fi thriller Ex Machina on Blu-ray, DTS has posted clips featuring a DTS Headphone:X virtual surround sound mix which you can hear using stereo headphones.  Pull out your best headphones and jack them into your computer (it might work on a tablet).

The clips are preceded by a round-the-room “speaker callout” that moves through 11 virtual speaker positions, including four height channels.

I don't think it lives up to the hype.  It seems to work better with your eyes closed but that defeats the object of using it with movies!
