Spanish police escort five British men off EasyJet flight in Ibiza after they spent entire journey 'abusing' cabin crew who refused to serve them any more alcohol.

'EasyJet takes all incidents of disruptive behaviour on board very seriously'. Yeh Right  ;D

Archer

Saturday's Norwegian flight had two brawling passengers, according to the flight attendant, as well. Not good, but they continue to serve copious amounts of alcohol to whoever wants to pay.  :'(

Best thing to do on a flight is to fall asleep and wake up when you land. Easy!!!

Ivemovedon

They must be doing all their drinking pre flight in the departure lounge. in my experience by the time the drinks trolly gets to me we are almost landing.

The last flight we were on the 'lady' next to me had a huge hot dog and a can of strongbow..at 6.15 am.. the smell made me feel sick  :o (at least she fell asleep afterwards) :)

Sadly too often the gate staff are to blame..They`ll frankly let anyone on to avoid aggro, despite sorting wheat and chaff being part of their job description. On our flight last month, they told the cabin crew they were letting one `moron` board because, although he`d had a drink, he was ok.....The cabin crew ok`d it on this basis...well the fresh air between building and plane must have been strong stuff and so when he was seen by the despatcher at the bottom of the steps, he was denied boarding and red carded...

We were then delayed while said moron`s bags were offloaded...The only satisfaction being was that he lost his holiday, or had to pay a large wedge to someone else to get him there much later...Not always the airlines fault

I was breathalysed last week at one of the road-block / checks at Horizonte Roundabout. ( negative ).
It took about 10 seconds. Why can't they do this at the gate before they board.
I don't mean everybody, but Hen-Parties, Stag Parties, or anybody else that looks worse for wear.
Over the limit, you don't fly. End of.

Magoo

It can be done, all it lacks is the will.  I used to take the midnight BA flight out of Luanda with work.  A lot of guys had been sat all day at the airport waiting for it. Regular as clockwork, someone would overdo it & be refused boarding. Its not that difficult

Quite right Woe it must be so easy to police at the gate lets be honest how many times have you seen police at the airports not so often at Manchester and very rarely at Liverpool surely any flight with hen/stag parties they could be asked to attend ( or employ some specials) even if its just to show other passengers that they are actually doing something about it ,last time i came out to fuerte in March delayed 20 mins at Fuerte for some low life that had been giving grief to the staff on board were hauled off by the police

Other transports have started to ban it London underground has had an alcohol ban ie carrying booze /opening it since 2008'Merseyrail trains have inroduced the same from 14/1/15 on all trains,Scotrail introduce it from 20/7/15 on all local services from 9pm till 10am next day ,Valley lines in south Wales have a vast majority of alcohol ban on trains for a few years ,its mainly for safety and to protect the staff ,moves are afoot to ban it on all trains we shall see because as we know most people are tanked up before they travel and thats the problem not any alcohol ban on public transport just stop them from travelling

Seems like his fellow passengers had had enough of this one  :

Passengers on a Siberian Airlines flight physically restrained an unruly passenger - by tying him up with seatbelts and sticky tape

Like I've said before, they're waiting for a major disaster, when a plane crashes and kills everybody due to a drunk, before they ban alcohol on flights.

Didn't think that the forum had so many " knee jerk right whingers" sorry wingers.  Why should the majority have to suffer because of the actions of the minority.  I am partial to a glass of wine with my meal, even the number two that's served as a poor excuse for wine on Thomas Cook.

Not saying ban it just stop the drunken idiots boarding ,has HTT says you are lucky if you get the trolley round once never mind twice selling drinks on the way to Fuerte maybe limit people to one per person per purchase but then its curtailing the much needed commission of the cabin crew so simply police the gates before boarding after all these no frill airlines have this banning order so use the bloody thing stamp it out eventually even the moronic deadbeats will realise this when they are banned from most short haul flights

Or maybe issue tasers and handcuffs to the crews  ;) ;) ;)

Caleta is full of BAMs (big arsed monsters) at the moment, I know some Bars that are closing for August. They don't want this dross.

you are all corect, they are morons, full stop,we all if we are willing to admit commited silly things like this when we were young, probably not as strange as the tricks these idiots do but if they cannot pass simple test,(walk the white line/stand on one leg, close the eyes and touch the tip of your nose) then refuse and investigate the person, fuert is a wonderful place for people who wish to behave, have a good time, its a shame as i think the result will be that we all will be refused any alcohol, the airlines will lose revenue and flight prices will go up.i mean the lord for standards has shown his hand today ,if he does that ,well what next,
