Smoking Law

Have I missed something? Has the law changed? I went to the Zanzibar in Caleta last night and there were several people smoking inside the bar. On approaching the bar staff, I was not too politely told if I didn`t like it, not to return. Not the right way to encourage business!

The law hasn't changed although it is a bit more relaxed where borders between inside and outside are concerned.

Zanzibar continued to allow smoking inside after the law was brought in and by the sounds of things, they have continued to do so.
There was talk of it not being bothered due to people in 'officialdom' that frequent it, but that may just be hearsay.  ;)

Looking forward to the day I tick the "One way only" box when booking flights to Fuerte. [:)]

They've always smoked inside The Zanzibar. The owner doesn't give a damn. He needs to be arrested. The little Spanish Barman is an ignorant Git anyway.

The reason they get away with it is because the big chief from either the Guardia Civil or the Army Base (I can't remember which) drinks in there and is partial to a cigar therefore they can do as they please.
