INFO ON INTERNET, UP CHIP MONK MOUNTAIN

HI THERE AND THAKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP, I WILL BE COMING OVER FOR A 3 MONTH STAY AND WE ARE BOTH NON RESIDENTS, WE WILL BE STAYING UP THE MOUTAIN IF WE CAN GET THE INTERNET AT VISTA GOLF 2, WE WILL NOT HAVE A LAND LINE AND WANT TO KNOW THE BEST WAY TO GET A GOOD CONECTION WHILE WE STAY TO SEE IF WE WILL SETTLE THERE. OR I KNOW WE CAN GET WIFI AT THE  ZANZIBAR AT THE FUERTEVENTURA BEECH CLUB AND IF NOT WE WILL RENT HERE  FOR OUR STAY,   ANY  ADVICE WILL BE GOOD ,MERLIN

Hi Merlin, this would depend on exactly where on Vista Golf 2 you are staying - you would need to do a "wireless search" from the property to see which signals you are able to pick up. If you are lucky enough to be staying within very close range of a WIFI mast (I know Canarynet has one covering this area) then you could connect this way and buy an internet access voucher. If you were situated a little further from the antenna then you could either bring a USB wireless adaptor which would amplify the signal from the main antenna (25 - 30 quid on Amazon) or alternatively the WIFI companies here can install a box on the roof - not sure the latter would be an option for you though as you are only staying a short while - a popular option for residents or those having a holiday home though. We stay at Vista Golf. I have a  Soanish Orange sim for my ipad, which I get topped up at Atlantico each time we come. Excellent connection. Costs €30 per month, but on offer just now for €20 . Well worth the money to us. Saves a fortune on phone calls, newspapers etc.

if buying a booster to use with any of us wifi providers on the island, make sure it is Wireless N (MIMO). you will get much better connection and speed. Also one that uses both frequencies 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz would be an even better buy and give more options....and don´t go for advertised power, go for quality ;-)
