Canarynet are a lot cheaper than that. You do not need a phone line and just buy a daily/weekly/monthly card (they can be purchased online) when you want to use it. I have been with them for about six years and they are very reliable. http://www.canarynet-hotspots.com/

We have tried loads of options and have given up with anything except ADSL on the phone line - though there is a choice of suppliers - we went with Movistar - maxing at 8 MB on a good day - but €40 pm.

Fifi canarynet speeds are very slow ok for email, facebook  ect but for anything else forget it.

Canary net is 30€ a month and using the resorts system is 40€ but I get a great signal so I may just fork out the extra and eat 2 less burgers a month

I spend a lot of time on the net so need a good signal it just grates a bit when I was paying £7 a month back in the uk

Cheers James

I like them because they have a pay as you go service. When I am not there I am not tied into any contract and it does not cost me anything. Also for people such as David22 Canarynet are probably a good option because he just wants something for his friends and guests when they go over so they can simply pay for a week or two when they are there. Canarynet as far as I can remember say on their website that they do not recommend it for downloading movies but they are fine for ordinary use and good value compared to what you would pay at an internet cafe or hotel.

If you are required to pay 40 pounds for this wifi then it would not be a bad deal if you are given a great speed in this amount.
