Loss of Sky Channels

Ive heard that in the comming weeks, more Sky channels are to be moved over to the New Astra Satellite and read we might now need a Huge Dish to watch??

Well we know the next "big" change is expected late August / September, when the channels on Astra 1N (BBC ITV C4s some Sky pay channels) move to the second new Astra satellite 2E - confirmed by SES Astra and BBC.

Exact dates are unknown.

As for in the next few weeks, the only thing that may move are channels from Astra 2A to Astra 2F (the first new satellite). But that has a paneuropean beam so if channels move from 2A to that pan European beam reception of channels should be the same. Only if the 2A channels move to 2Fs UK beam would things be different. But then 2A channels may not move to 2F, but to 2E when it is operational - or to 2G (the third new satellite) expected early 2014.

So anything you may have heard is only speculation and gossip, as nothing has been officially said by SES Astra - who own and operate the satellites.
