Due to come out on the 17th of April, but due to events beyond our control we're now not in a position to be able to travel :'(. Therefore I now have 4 one way tickets available at very reasonable cost, so if anyone is interested please mail me on tania39@hotmail.co.uk.

Be interesting to see if anyone can make this worth while after paying the change of name fees etc.

Yes, that's a good point Zed, the Airline will ask £35 per head for a name change, but I was considering offering the tickets for around £70 and that includes pre booked seat allocation.
The current price for 4 persons with allocated seating is £393.96 and at £70 plus the cost of changing names would come out at £210.  For two people, today's price is £201.98 which again with the name changes would be £140 with the allocated seating (plus a baggage charge, of course).
I am open to offers and would prefer not to see the tickets go to waste, if at all possible.

I didn`t even try to sell ours when we couldn`t go, too near the flight date really, just put in an insurance claim. Still waiting for a settlement but I guess it`s early days yet, no sense of urgency with insurance companies until they want your renewal fee.

In addition to the £35 to change the names you also need to pay the difference in price between the cost of the original flight booked and the cost at the time the change is made. So at £70 for the ticket plus £35 for the name change plus the difference in price, it might work out quite expensive, unless the flight price has gown down since the original booking. Good luck anyway!

Thanks for your help lynr, but I think that's only if you want to change the flight not just the name changes.
I believe the figures I quoted previously to be correct, I do still have the tickets and am open to offers around £50 for all four tickets (or a pair), rather than see the seats empty
How I wish I was going myself though... :(

I think then the information on the Easyjet website is a bit unclear then, as it reads:

"A fee will be charged per passenger, per one-way flight for any change that is made. For both name and flight changes you will need to pay the difference in price between the cost of the original flight booked and the cost at the time the change is made. No refund will be made if the cost of the flight is lower at the time of the change"

Not sure if they mean this will apply if you change the name and the flight, or if you change either the name or the flight.

Still at £50 for 4 even with all the charges, must be worth it for someone to take you up on your offer!

Thanks again for your input lyn.  I try to think and believe that we lovers of Fuerteventura are lucky to have the option ( if it works out) to buy a cheap flight, so we all need the stimulus and competion in effect.
I had a disastrous experience with EYZ in 2010 at the height of the Ash Cloud debacle and at the time I said I would never use them again, but eventually it always comes down to the same thing, unless you're particularly well heeled. The admin fee (if that's what it is) to do a name change is excessive and unreasonable in my view, but what can you do, you have to accept what is laid down in their terms and conditions and that's the bottom line.  I've always said, the likes of Easyjet don't have customers, but only people that use them...

The day of the loyal customer went out with the ration book after the war. Do Tesco etc have customers, no. They have shoppers who will go where they get value for money. But again prices have really fallen in real terms, Ryanair  EZY and a few more make it possible for ordinary people to get to places that twenty years ago we had only seen on postcards or TV. With the each way fare costing about the price of a ticket to a football match they must run a tight ship. They make a lot of money and give massive employment doing it and good luck to them. The traditional air airlines are really peed off and cannot and will not compete. They still think its great to fly half empty planes around the place with tickets that only the Hob Nobs can afford. Oh and after being robbed for the ticket you can take a case for free whether you need it or not . The down side if you try to go outside the T & Cs of the low cost airlines it will cost you.

Good post Dagwood, there's irritation coming at us from suppliers in all directions, but we as consumers have to go with the flow to have them in the mix and without the competition prices will only go one way for sure..  It's all so debateable and most of us have a tale to tell, but we have to live with their way or, as you say, it's back to the exclusive situation enjoyed by the knobs in our past life.
As a parting shot, Tesco really get under my skin most of all >:(

I got fed up with the constant price fluctuations zed, prices up and down like a yo yo and I'm not talking about just a few pence.  Some of the half price offers have been ridiculous because I could never see anyone paying the suggested full price. If you're shopping for a family on a budget, I believe you need  pricing stability as much as possible and even though the Store offers certain own brand lines at an excellent price, my local Store dosen't seem to be be able to replenish the shelves often enough.
I come from an area with a relatively small population and a few years ago we had a Tesco, Lidl and one of the last large independents in the Country.  The latter was a favourite with the locals, especially some of the older people and you could buy all sorts of weird and wonderful things there.  The best thing probably, was that the Store sold locally produced goods, you could buy a 10kg sack of potatoes with the name of the farm up the road on the outside, for example.  Anyway, Tesco had to buy them out, so now we have two Tescos in the Town.. Hooray!  That's my gripe anyway and I choose to use them as little as possible.
I've even noticed certain things are cheaper in my local Costcutter, so I don't think Tesco are fooling everyone.
Anyway, my appologies for the rant, this has nothing to do with flight information.. I do still have the flight tickets though ::)
