I agree with the Zurich Kabel TV posting, we left Europa in July after very shoddy customer service, we now have Zurich Kabel TV and it is a far better system, believe me, there is more channel's, 100% better customer service, better catch up TV, we now have VOD (video on demand for films and TV series) It was the best thing we ever did leaving Europa, we are just happy customers who think that others should be told of this great service...

I can only echo lulabells` comments. I also changed from Europa to ZKTV due to poor customer support. I now have a superior product and instant customer support. I had a problem with getting a programme on the catchup service and it was the same day resolved so I could watch it, with Europa it would have been difficult to have had it resolved as it would have had to be passed to one department to another with no one owning the problem and I would have given up trying.(that`s if I could get anyone to speak to me by email or phone).

Is there any company on the island who actually come and install IPTV in a property rather than buying a box in Germany or wherever and having it posted to the island.   Europa seem to be on the mainland and I don't know where ZKTV are located

Any help appreciated

I bought the box myself from ebay and setup the box to make sure the box was working and Paul from ZKTV arranged a free trial when I received the box to setup the box and make sure I did not have a faulty box before I brought it out to the island. It really is an easy install so no need to get someone to do it. You can phone/email Paul and he will walk you through it I`m sure .

I don`t know if you are a resident or non resident if you are resident and don`t want to have a box sent to you, why not arrange for box to be sent to someone in UK and bring it (I know how unreliable the post/couriers are here).

It really is just connecting the power lead to box, then connecting an ethernet cable to the router and hdmi cable to TV.
Here are the instructions when you get the cables attached.

INSTALLATION OF A NEW MAG250

IMPORTANT YOU MUST CONTACT US (Paul at ZKTV) BEFORE POWERING THE BOX
FOR FIRST TIME AS OUR SECURITY SYSTEM BLOCK ANY BOX NOT AUTHORISED

ONCE YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD TO PLUGIN THE MAG250 TO INTERNET it might depending on age of FIRMWARE ,which might need
a automatic upgrade so we advise you wait 30mins after connecting box to internet for a FIRMWARE upgrade to happen ..

TO START WATCHING
1.REBOOT BOX - by pulling out power lead in back and replugging it
screen - infomir
screen -loading x3
2.INTERNAL PORTAL
3.press SETTTING then OK
4.press SYSTEM SETTINGS then OK
5.press SERVERS
6 press PORTALS
7 move to PORTAL1 URL (leave PORTAL1 NAME blank)
8.press KEYBOARD button
9 type all lower case   zktv.pw
9.press KEYBOARD button
10.press OK
11 EXIT
12 EXIT
13 REBOOT PORTAL press OK
14 ZKTV SYSTEM UP AND RUNNING

Personally if you were stuck and close to me I`d be happy to give you a helping hand.

Thank you for the information beachlife  It appears that there is nobody on the island supplying the box.  I would have no problem setting it up.  My problem is that I am not permanently resident on the island and dont trust the postal system to get it delivered to the correct address.  I will try another angle  Many thanks again

Looking forward to the day I tick the "One way only" box when booking flights to Fuerte. [:)]

Hi all after reading all the posts for IPTV I have sourced a company based in Lanzarote. That can give you a box with uk/any TV, access to 1000s of tv shows and movies no monthly or annual costs for a one off price of 150â,¬, delivery and set up is usually free ( depends how far away you are) anyone interested go to.  www.freetvlanz.com.
They have distributor on Fuerte.
Regards all

Hi Paul ZKTV,

Am I correct in my assumption that you use Movistar's package for the router and internet connection? Can you provide internet to property's without a land line?

Thanks,

Dave.
