Alone in Corralejo :((

Hi folks,

The cruel hand of fate has dealt me a blow for next week! My friend with whom I was supposed to be going to Corralejo with next week has rather selfishly gone and ruptured his achilles playing football last night! (He was playing poorly anyway so I thought he had faked it ooops!) Anyhow this means he can't travel, as he is having an operation today, so this means do I either go on my own? or stay at home and lose my money?

We / I am staying at the playa park in Corralejo, all inclusive. Will I hate it on my own? I guess I'm just looking for some advice really.

Does anyone wanna come and talk to a strange 33 year old bloke sat like a loner in a bar?

Go! You will love it. If you like the water sign up for some surfing lessons and you will meet guys and gals your own age from all over.

Yeah we had already planned to do some surfing lessons one day and some quad biking on another. Just feels a bit strange doing it on your own! I will probably end up sat in the bar most of the week!

Dont be wasting your friends ticket.    Get a name change to me (I will pay that cost).    But get it done quickly so you can post it to me in time.   Dont worry what airport, have bus pass can travel!!!!
As a 21 and a bit person I can keep you company and show round the best parts of the island, not that there are bad parts.

Hi Jason - go to Clarkies Bar (I know you are all inclusive but sometimes it is nice to escape!).  You will be sure of a good welcome there.  They play poker on Monday nights and have a quiz on Thursdays - no skill required!

You will never be alone in corralejo if you dont want to be..if ur into football call into dave in the corner house, great little bar, your sure to have a laugh with them!! Check out liquid surf school, i know they head out in the evenings as a group too sometimes.

Just round the corner from Playa park is Flintstones bar, nice pub with entertainment, also if you find your way to the Where Abouts office there are lots of trips, excursions etc where you will meet people.

You could always tke Falkirk Dan up on his offer - but then he snores and has some terrible bad habits....!!!  however he does know his way around, and how to party....!!!

Cheers for the advice folks, dan, sadly we had already checked in online so names can't be changed or something like that! Otherwise you'd have been welcome to it. The hotel have kindly given my friend his money back. I've decided I'm still going to go, seems daft us both missing out but I fear it could be a very long week! I will visit all the places mentioned so look out for the sunburnt forlorn chap xx
