Over the last 10 years or so,we have recommended Caleta to lots of people. Most people have liked it and had a good holiday, one or two have not liked it at all.Just dropped two very good friends off at liverpool airport, after setting them up with flights and accomodation at the puerto caleta for 11 nights for £400.I know this is a good deal, and they would never have matched it themselves,as they don,t like booking online.Even though i know them well, and know what they like,i still feel apprehensive, because i want them to have a good time.i find myself waiting for news that they like it and are having a great time.Does anyone else feel like this,or is the answer not to recommend places to people you know well.Still waiting for news of their arrival, and first impressions, hope its good news. :-\ ::) ::)

Hi Denboy,

I always recommend Fuerteventura first and foremost, and then tell people about Corrie, El Cotilo and Caleta and let them make their own monds up. I'v stayed in Corrie and in Caleta so I can speak of first hand experience so I have no problems, I also am familiar with El Cotilo.

I have enven recommended Morro Jable to a German friend of mine, who had a fantastic holiday there with his son.

I did say we love fuerteventura as a whole, and that caleta doesn,t have the best beaches on the island.I told them it was best to hire a car in order to experience what is on offer. They decided not to hire a car,as they want a relaxing holiday.I think Caleta is the place to do just that. They also said they might do the trip to lanzarote, which i have never done. Thanks for your input Can the Man.Like i said, just hoping they have a great holiday. :)

Puerto Caleta is one of the oldest complexes in Caleta but we really love it, Greg and Kat who have the pool bar are fantastic and really welcoming. It's so central and we always love to finish the evenings off in El Capitans (just below it) anf then a last drink (or 2 ) in Nelsons. It's not a fancy complex but we after staying in Cay Beach in April we booked back into Peurto Caleta for last June/July and have re-booked back in for a couple of weeks time, I'm sure you've told them all the best bars and restaurants Denboy and hopefully they'l have a fab time  :) :) Nelsons have a fb page and are now on tripadvisor.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and im not sure about the former .....

They will have a wonderful time - the weather is just right at the moment. They could always visit us inland and we would welcome the opportunity to show them the beauty, history and culture of Fuerteventura

Been regular visitors to Caleta for several years now and have recommended to friends & family. Finally persuaded my parents to visit a couple of years ago, there were very pro Tenerife, they love the place and have been back to Fuerteventura 3 times since, not been back to Tenerife though ;D
