Noticed in our latest 3 week stay the police showing a more low key approach to traffic policing during our time on the island. Or it seemed that way to us. Not one road block, and just one speed check on the tamaragua road the whole time. More than a few police cars around as usual but always looking like they had a destination in mind and not just cruising or stopped looking for likely fine material. Made driving a pleasure instead of a trial. Shows policing does not have to be in your face. Great to see and long may it continue.
