Beach fines

From September there will be fines of between €200 and €3000 for improper use of the beaches in the Antigua council area. Littering the sand or sea,  cleaning utensils or dishes in the  sand or sea, and maintaining or cleaning boats are not allowed.

Great! Ammo for next time I see a smoker leaving a cigarette-end on the beach. There were yoghurt pots and plastic bags in the El Cotillo lagoons a few days ago, and it wasn't the wind that put them there.
