Great pictures, a lovely part of the Island. Managed to walk up Pico De La Zarza a few years back and the views from the top overlooking Cofete were breathtaking.

BTW, when you went, did you notice if there was a possibility to walk along the range, sort of parallel to the shore, to south-west? My map shows a route, but I didn't see any paths or anything

Lovely pictures again Tamara. We were up at the top of Grand Valle overlooking Cofete and Villa Winter last Sunday late morning - saw a walking group just like the one in your pictures, but I suppose that happens regularly.
Sadly we're now back in the UK (for just a few weeks in our case - need to cut the grass!).

that was very likely us - we started from Morro Jable at 10, and came back at 4. Didn't see big groups apart from ours, so, inevitable conclusion follows

What a co-incidence! We are involved in Geocaching and had gone by 4x4 first of all heading along the track towards Grand Valle, but then cutting off up to the left for a while before returning part way and parking up near another, white, 4x4 - walking tour. We then walked up Grand Valle to the saddle, but were aware of a group already on the saddle, probably having lunch, or at least a snack. As we Geocachers need to act with stealth we were glad to see the group move on and head down towards Cofete/Villa Winter which allowed us to visit a cache located near the sadlle. Having done our deed we set off back down to the vehicle with a lunch stop once we were out of the wind.
There were just 4 in our group.

And we did notice some 4x4s, and were wondering what exactly were they doing there And I am pretty sure I had to clone one vehicle while processing pictures for photostock . We had stops in on the saddle, both ways - strange choice to have food, if you ask me, the windiest point of the whole route

had a quick read on geocaching - looks interesting, thinking of giving it a go, thanks for that

I'm having a look on geocaching too might help my bloody bad back - pics are great tamara,many thans for sharing them with us on here - this island is fascinating - i've hardly been anywhere on it to be honest and then you see your pics and it's like a different planet sometimes with the landscape ? Fabulous and keep posting please

I definitely recommend Geocaching - we only started in February, but we have seen so many places on the island through Geocaching that we would never have seen otherwise in spite of being regular visitors for around 10 years.
