Wednesday 15 August is a Public Holiday on Fuerteventura and the rest of Spain, to celebrate the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.

All public buildings will be closed, and the buses will be operating a Sunday timetable.

Supermarkets in tourist areas will be open.  Mercadona are closed for the day.
