linda & alan call time on the penalty spot

Linda served her last pint there yesterday! As far as im aware its been sold as i knew it was up for sale.. i really liked the bar when linda and alan were there. They will be a BIG miss to caleta!! 


maybe captain can  do a bit fishing to see if its still open!!

I knew that they were selling up, and moving back to the UK.

I'll have a wander down there and have a look to see what's happening

was great spot to have a drink ..just sit and chill sorry to hear linda and alan have sold the penalty spot great people to know..wish them luck in there new adventure..has alan also sold up his other business ...? miraflor mobility or just the penalty spot..?

I've just had a walk down there, and it's all closed up.  It looks a bit sad

There aren't any notices on the windows to say anything about re-opening with new owners.

When Barcelo first built the small hotel at the harbour, it was supposed to be "Couples Only", but First Choice, who were  supposed to take it on gave up on it when Barcelo asked stupid money for the contract.
The Penalty Spot was, at first, supposed to be a Fish Restaurant, but nobody took it on, and it stood empty for about 2 years until the guy who had the Net Cafe took it on as a Bar, then sold it to Alan and Linda and their partners at the time.

They're selling all the fixtures and fittings, according to a Facebook page, this week.

The future doesn't look good.

Sounds like they didn´t sell after all then. It´s always been a struggle down there since Barcelo went AI.  They tried to sell it for about 3 years. Barcelo leases are the most expensive in Caleta.
