After watching UK Adverts for for Voltarol Arthritis Pain relief cream, Here's a tip for you.

Voltarol / Voltaren, Generic name is DICLOFENACO, available in Farmacias in Fuerteventura at 10 times less the price than Boots in the UK. Don't be ripped off, it's the same thing.

DICLOFENICO: Fuerteventura, â,¬0.70 cents/60 mg

VOLTAROL: Boots, £7.29/50 mg

There was something on the TV the other week about something similar. Some medicines have a type number on them, Anadin Extra was an example. They then found a generic brand, a lot cheaper, with the same type number, ie same ingredients.
Regards, Neil
Looking forward to the day I tick the "One way only" box when booking flights to Fuerte. [:)]

A small point. From what I can figure out Voltarol is 2.25%. If my math is right the generic is 1%. The generic is still a lot cheaper but less then it seems if you just look at the prices.

From the Boots Online Website:  Ingredients
Active Ingredient: Diclofenac Diethylammonium 1.16% w/w

I went to the votarol website. Figure they're less likely to make a mistake. Maybe it's a different product?

Okay looks like they have three different products  :o Never mind

Google  FINITRO, it works for me. It maybe will work for you and they ship throughout the EEA duty free. You can't get it on prescription so unlike prescription drugs for which I have to pay 10% of the cost price you will have to pay the 30,00 Euros a month if it works, but we'll worth it.

Thanks for the info. Woe.
Looked it up on the net. there are a few health warnings att.?
Not knocking it, these maybe the same for Voltarol too. I wouldn't know. Some may need to check?
Thanks again.  8)

Diclofenaco is available at any farmacia on Fuerteventura as 'Algistik 1%' and is a roller ball applicator rather like the under arm ones. It's brilliant for Arthritis and because I can't get it in the UK I have to stock up on holiday. Without it I use Ibuprofen gel, which works but is messier.

Finitro is basically a glucosamine supplement with a few vitamins thrown in for good measure.  Probably cheaper just to buy generic glucosamine.

Ernie

Hi there,

Can Diclofenaco, Algistik 1% and Finitro all be bought directly over the counter without requiring a prescription ? I'm guessing so but just want to check.

Thanks,

Ernie

You can only buy Cannabis oil with a doctor's prescription. Also you need medical reports about you condition, or the won't sell it. Also, although not illegal. it's illegal to transport it in public, even walking from the shop to your car they can arrest you for carrying it.
It's nigh impossible, I tried. And it's expensive unless you're on health benefits.
