Corralejo beach bars

Hi, could someone please confirm that Galera, Torro,  Corintia and Waikiki beach bars have had to remove the outside tables and chairs from the beach, and if so, what is the reason for this.

Could it have something to do with some of  the beaches being closed? Hygiene reasons perhaps?

The City Council of La Oliva has ordered the closure of the beaches of Muelle Chico and Corralejo Viejo.

This is due to discharges of fecal waters from the overflow of the sanitation network that connects with that of rainwater, confirmed Europa Press - municipal sources.

The closure has occurred due to the results obtained from water analysis and the recommendation of health services, added the City of La Oliva in a statement that added that the ban will be allowed "until it reverses the situation."

The current local government has been working for several weeks to improve this network of rainwater harvesting, "separating it from faecal sewage network, to avoid the situations that occur today," they added.

Don't think it's got anything to do with that, the police are upholding the laws regarding outside furniture. It looks like this is the flavour of the month. Last month they were clamping down on cyclists. Some one needs to let them know they're not governed by general franco anymore and they need to respect the residents and tourists as they pay their wages.

About the time we first purchased our properties esty, there was a strong rumour that a million and a half euros had went missing from a European grant to upgrade the sewerage treatment plant??? it could be coming to fruition or it could be because of a problem caused with the recent drains, or both. I laugh a people going on about Britex, Spain was never a participating party along with the majority of other so called partners, its only the likes of the UK and Germany that take the European laws seriously, nobody gives a toss. Fuerter has always done its own thing.

From another site it seems to be to do with licences.  And places that no longer have furniture  outside their respective boundary  don't have the necessary  licence. Seems in corralejo  business are now being treated more equally which is only fair to those that are paying already for licences / soundproofing etc.

Ronnie, I have re read my last post and I must admit you are 100% correct, I'm losing it, I blame sitting working on a computer for hours on end, I need a life. Why not try to go up market Ronnie, treat yourself to a very expensive pint of lager (Nectar) in the Bhia Royale, sit on the lounge balcony and sup while waving at the peasants walking along the beach, who are trying to avoid the truds not properly processed.

Is Flag beach and Olivia beach near rui hotel, still good for swimming etc ?
