I am trying to put together a band that are prepared to go out and gig for the fun of it, not for the money. Bars over here will not pay out for a band, much cheaper to get someone singing to karaoke backing tracks rather than pay for 3 or 4 people. Anyway, I just want to get out and play real live music and if we keep the price down, we will have a lot of gigs. So if anyone is interested, I am looking for a drummer, singer and bass guitarist to play rock, blues and rock and roll or anything suited to the singer. If you are interested and can gig for next to nothing in the Caleta area, contact me. This is just gigging for fun with the money split, so probably 20 / 30 euros each a night.
Simon.

I'm not aiming to knock you here, and I admire what your trying to do, I agree more live music/bands would be a great thing, but the fact is that karaoke isn't bought in because it's cheaper (in most cases) but because unfortunately that is what most holiday makers want, sorry but it's true, I've seen many a bar bring in many acts, a great variety, but it always went back to karaoke because they were the biggest crowd pullers.

That being said I hope you get a band together and make some good around the area!

Hi There,

I am a bass player with a considerable amount of experience playing live etc, I coincidentally use to play in Lanzarote and Fuerte (Corralejo) a few years back, I live in Villaverde. The project sounds fun and exciting.

Look forward to hearing from you

Tom

A karaoke bar is the last place you would find me, keep music live, good luck
