On Tuesday of this week i received an email from Thomas Cook to tell me that my holiday booked for Fuerteventura had a flight change from Saturday 4 October to Wednesday 1 October. The flight i had booked was to depart from Manchester at 13.45 on the Saturday. When i rang Thomas Cook to say this was'nt agreeable to me i was told the flight had been pulled and no alternative other than the Wednesday flight or a full refund of my deposits could be given.I asked for the refund and then went onlline and found that  My Travel owned by none other than Thomas Cook had a flight departing on Saturday 4 October at 15.30 which i am now booked upon  but not before i had to sort out the problem of somebody in the Thomas Cook office cancelling my new booking in mistake for the original booking. This was quite a painstaking process but at least i'll be back for my regular October jaunt.

Are you going for 2 weeks?  Just looked on the Thomas Cook site and there is availability on 4th but no return on the 18th.  Don't know why.   ::)

Looking forward to the day I tick the "One way only" box when booking flights to Fuerte. [:)]

meggie, they did that with our flight out of Glasgow for our August trip.

Had to wait ages for my money back, while I had to re-book with another carrier, who only flew out on a Friday.  That mean't more hassle re-organising my rented Villa to a Friday start.  Luckily enough the owner was very accomodating.

I will, if possible never fly with TC again. I was on the brink with them in any case due to their leg room, or lack of !!

My past experiences with TC & Thompsons had be come to the conclusion that I would either need to have surgery to fit into their seats, or find another airline. Our last two trips have been via Sleazyjet, & oddly enough we have no complaints.
