The article's a bit short. Do I understand it that tenders are invited for plans for the work to be done for that set price and deadline, rather than tendering a price and design?

2,573 m² seems like a big space, it could really be an impressive terminus. Certainly big enough to put Corralejo's in the shade.

It strikes me as being larger than El Cotillo needs, but on the other hand I remember cursing the lack of shade at the current terminus. At least it appears public transport is being treated seriously, which is something lacking at home.

No doubt it will be the same fiasco as usual. They'll find a company to do it, pay them up front, they'll go bust or just run off with the money, a year later someone else will take over the project, get half way through then the funds will run out and we'll end up with another blot on the landscape. Much like Caleta's really and there's one sure thing you can say about the Ayuntamiento's here, they never learn.

So are they expecting these buses (present buses, present timetabling, I imagine) to swell the population of El Cotillo to overshadow that of Corralejo? I don't see it happening. The last time we got a bus out of El Cotillo, we shared the good-sized shelter with 3 other people.

2500sqm which is what is being proposed, would give it the biggest bus station this side of the equator, with a price tag to match    At a time of austerity, when the council hasnt got the money to replace bulbs in the street lamps (certainly in Correlejo) they have the odd million to waste.....sorry this sounds like EU scam scam scam time again

Wouldn't it be nice if we lived in a democracy and had a say in where our money is spent rather than a Mafia run brown envelope dictatorship where every one is on the take.

Stedge, according to this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-13924687 it costs £30m per mile, so your £787,000 won't go far    Unless its to bypass a bus stop

Was this printed 1 April must be an April Fool.   One bus an hour do not need a bus station. Maybe put up a parosole.   Anyway will not be close enough to the bar the drivers have their tot of brandy.

The original budget for the dunes road was about 55m euros for 18km.  Bargain - or would have been if it had been completed.  As it is we have spent 37m euros for b****r all.
