In their infinite wisdom, those faceless people who reside in Brussels, have been twiddling their thumbs, sat in their plush offices, and  wondering what to come up with next, to justify their existance / high salaries.
Ahhhh..   20 new checks Europe-wide for ITVs (MOTs) for your car. That'll do for now. What next ?

Yes they will of course be very rigorously enforced in Countries where safety is top priority such as Estonia, Bulgaria and Romania and they may even extend these checks to their donkey carts.....
