I've just moved to fuerteventura/ Caleta de Fuste with family and have no idea what to do around here, or more of the fact that I have left all my friends in rainy old London.

I'm 21 and wondering if there are any 18-28s around, living or on holiday.

Drop me a message/reply please :) x

Welcome to Fuerteventura.

One thing I would say it is easy to make friends here.  If you can speak Spanish it will help. If you don't speak Spanish I'd thoroughly recommend learning it.  At your age you should pick it up reasonably quickly.

If you like sports, then you can do most things here.  Not always on your doorstep but other places like  Puerto del Rosario and Corralejo will have things that may not be available in Caleta.
Diving, windsurfing, cycling, fishing,  football etc etc. These are activities which will bring you into contact with other young people.

Are you going to be working?  Always a good place to meet new people if you are.

It is quite hard to make recommendations on what to do to meet people, but certainly here it is easier than in the UK generally, at least I think so.
Good luck.

Move again to Corralejo! That's where it all happens. Good Luck.

Welcome to the Forum. :) Hemmingways would probably be the best bar to go to if you want to meet the locals and head off to a disco afterwards. You will find them all very welcoming.  :)

Caleta has it all. Dive center, Windsurf center, jet ski school.tennis, 2 top golf courses. tons of live music, 20 plus good eating places and bars and the only Casino on the island....

glenys, Even though Corrie is not as busy as usual, there is still more going on than in Caleta. Been there twice and swore i would'nt go back. It's Corrie every time for me even though it is quieter than usual.

Hey,

Ive just moved to Caleta for 6 months so would be lovely to meet others. Im 26 f and live in Nuevo Horizonte and its fab so far.

I went to Corralejo the other day and still prefer caleta, maybe because its more familiar to me.

Cheers :)
