Hot Rock Radio is a new radio station broadcasting on the Internet  at www.hotrockradio.eu. The operators and DJs are much the same as the old Hot FM ones - even the quizzes are the same. We were upset to see the old radio station be forced to close and hope that the new one is even more successful. Good luck

It's a great pity that we lost so many local FM stations when the FM licensing process [now exposed as flawed] made it impossible for  "pirate" stations to continue to broadcast without the risk of a heavy fine. In Fuerte we lost both HotFM and QFM in the same week!
However with the internet now being available almost anywhere on many types of devices listening to internet radio will soon become the norm., as will TV. BBC,ITV and Sky are now providing great internet services and they are bound to get better as bandwidth increases
You can now plug your IPhone into your car radio and listen to local radio or any of the 100's of specialist genre radio whenever you like - it's fantastic
Don't forget us local "community" broadcasters though - Spike On Q every Friday 6pm to 8pm local time Canarias with Captain Sensible, Lovely Rita and Alex. Stevie T and his mum are on a Sunday morning from 11am and Hard Harry with his "Shows" show on a Wednesday at 6pm. Just go to www.canaryuk.com
