I prefer "My tapas - 1966". Great food, good value, friendly service. Possibly not the most authentic "Spanish" tapas but everyone I know that have eaten there have loved it.

Tapas restaurant is a contradictio in terminis.
A tapa is offered in a bar, along with your drink.

Not many bars offer a small free tapa with a drink these days - it was an old tradition which has now developed into a full scale menu in restaurants -either as starters with fairly substantial portions  or solely as a Tapas Restaurant,  So,the original question was quite relevant.

Tapas is still going strong in parts of Spain. Every bar in Granada serves a small plate of something different every time you order a drink. It got to the point we had to turn it down as it spoiled our planned meal for the evening. Problems problems.

In Galicia too! I remember one bar where it varied depending on what drink you ordered, so if you ordered a been then they were giving out pizza slices, but order a hot drink and you got churros. Not exactly high quality food, but free! :D
