Anyone know if they are ok? If so does it go as hand luggage or hold luggage?

Thanks!!

Logitechtom

Tools are not permitted on board the aircraft, so hold luggage IMHO.

Thanks for quick reply. Was planning on putting drill in checkin bag but not sure what to do with the battery

I brought a drill & battery out (amongst a load of other things) as checked luggage a couple of years ago with no problems

IMHO I would put both in hold luggage, it is Dire Air do not, give them an excuse to be obstructive.

If you`re going jet2 they say batteries in HAND lauggage only.
Recently brought out a Gtech airRam, battery in hand luggage and rest in hold luggage.

Hi Keithtx,

Carried one over myself late last year with Easyjet. Drill and charger went in hold luggage and batteries in hand luggage. There is a maximum size (Mah) for total battery capacity but I found that 2 x 1.5Mah batteries were well within the limits, you also have to protect the connections to prevent any short circuits. I would definitely check this with Ryanair though and print their response to take with you.

Thanks for all replies. In the end put everything in checked in bag and went thru OK. Disconnected the battery and taped over terminals to avoid short circuits etc. Did not have time to check with Ryanair. Cheers.... Keith

Glad to hear it arrived safe and well.  So, there's a few holes I need drilling, so when you coming around........ ROTFL.
