Second hand cars

Anybody know if there are places other than overcame in Puerto that sell ex hire cars?

About cars? that's where I bought ours, not the cheapest, but second-hand cars here are comparatively expensive, apparently, they are much cheaper in Gran Canaria, and allegedly worth the cost and hassle of going there.

Correct answer. At least 2000-3000Euros cheaper than equivalent make/model/mileage/year etc and the princely sum of about 100Euros for the round trip, two people including the car without a padron. Far cheaper than that if you have padron, obviously.  Mini cruise for nothing and we didn't have to participate in the embarrassing and seemingly obligatory Aboutcars thumbs up picture either. Win win. :-)

All I can say is we bought from Aboutcars because it was expedient, which suited us more than saving 2/3 grand, We have now had the car for 4 years and with the exception of a new battery, have not had a moment's trouble with it, and I found Weiberen a perfect gentleman to deal with, so you take your choice

I second the recommendation for About Cars. You might pay a couple of hundred more, but it is a hassle free purchase. Our purchase came with two years servicing and two years ITV (MOT).

Wieberen has the patience of a saint. We bought a Captur and could never cure a leaky valve on one tyre. Had to got to their local agents in Matorral 3 or 4 times, Renault the same and the tyre place at Matorral. Gave up in the end and swapped it - will never buy another Renault.
