I don't know why so many people believe in the programme. It's just entertainment !
Like all tv, everything is scripted, setup and edited , to create the story 'they' want you to see.
We watched it when it started, but after three episodes, we could see the format, the template, which all the series are made to.
The set-up, one too dear, one in the wrong place, one just right, but too expensive etc etc, working some conflict between the guests etc.
The presenters are just talking heads, the director runs the whole thing.
We just watch the Fuerte ones, so we can say - been there, been there, had coffee there, bought a T shirt there. The best, of course, was the Fuerte v Isle of Wight !!

Four in a Bed is exactly the same, but we watch avidly, just to see what experience each of the owners is offering, and gain tips.

Let's be honest about it, most of us have only been watching it all these years for Jasmine's cleavage.

:P :P :P :P :P

I met her last year at APITS in Manchester - lovely girl  ;D

Laura Hamilton is the best, she could sell
Me a villa anytime  😎

I found her quite surly and ignorant. She just looked at me like I shouldn't be in the same space as her.

That's what you get for following her home I suppose.

That's a disgusting assumption.  I watch it for her legs in those sundresses as well

Regards, Neil
Looking forward to the day I tick the "One way only" box when booking flights to Fuerte. [:)]

And they bought for a change

meggie

Mind you im surprised they went straight in at full asking price

StuWalker

Do you think the prices on the island are inflated by the agents, or is there a general rule of bartering when it comes to buying?

Windermeregolfer

Not sure who is to blame, somebody is being very greedy or stupid if they pay some of the prices being asked.

Have to say that a villa on our complex which is only 21 months old has come on the market for resale with Goldacre @ 550,000â,¬ a price I can't comprehend as there are still a couple of the brand new ones on the same side of the road for sale @ 295,000â,¬ you can't tell me it has over quarter of million euros (including approx. 29Kâ,¬ of taxes and fees) of furniture fixtures and fittings!!!! I know how much it has cost us to do bits and furnish and it is no where near that.

rosamund

The programme does occasionally help. A woman who bought on our complex saw it on the tv and is delighted with her place in the sun.

calculator

House prices in Fuerteventura bottomed out about 5 years ago!!

People don't seem to understand the information presented to them. Just because there is a load of number two still for sale with constant downward adjustments to the price doesn't imply that prices are falling.

Good property in good locations sell immediately at very good prices.

If we put our place on the market today, it would be sold before the weekend and at least double what we paid for it 6 years ago.

It's all about knowing what to pay, not the advertised price, not the agent price and most definitely not the seller's asking price.

When we were buying, I mathematically worked out the price of every house we were interested in. Some of those properties are still for sale 6 years later and they still haven't dropped to the figures that I commuted. That doesn't mean that house prices are dropping.

Anybody that hasn't bought by now, has missed the boat and will be paying a lot lot more then what they could have paid 5 years ago. Rubbish is still rubbish. People should concentrate on quality and educate themselves as to what is the correct price. Under no circumstance should people compare Fuerteventura prices to the price of similar properties in their home country - that's how people get screwed.

We bought off Goldacre and were more than happy with the entire transaction, but a property near us has been on the market for I am told 6 years, was with an Agent in Caleta, but has recently been switched to Goldacre and the asking price has been increased by 30% ?????????????

Agree 100% my neighbour purchased 4 years ago  for 81,00 and just sold it for 165,000 on the market for 5 weeks

haribo

Just watched an old episode, couple from Hull looked at a duplex on euro caleta on the market for £66000 put a very low offer for £48000, didn`t up it maybe another time waster. The best bit this property is still for sale with Just4sales for, wait fo it, â,¬110000 either it was bought cheap and remarketed at a higher price or it is still the original owner

Enough of this inane chatter about property, can we get back to discussing the presenters norks again?

No one makes money from buying a property in fuerteventua  The cost of buying is 10% and the same for selling. It's just a good.

place to buy a dream home in a fantastic climate but forget making any money out of it

I think most would say it`s to live their dream, not necessarily make money 🙂🙂
