Hi.
If anyone knows of anyone who has recently acquired a full sized Macaw parrot, it has probably been STOLEN.
It is very rare (the only ones here are in Oasis Park) and quite valuable. It's owner had all of the official registration and vetinary certificates, which you legally need to keep a one of these. He had spent a couple of years training it to fly in the open, which again is very rare.
We can't believe that anyone would be stupid enough to keep it here - at some stage it will need a vet or someone will recognise it but you never know. It is probably on another island by now.
If you know anything, you can pm me.
Many thanks
Chris

Sorry, forgot something.
The theft is under a full investigation by the police and guardia civil. Also, all the vets have it on their "watch list" so, if it appears at any time, the new "owners" will be caught.

What colour, where lost/stolen? Are we likely to see it flying freely?
Maybe post a photo.

We have a friend who lost one. It was awhile ago though. Same one???
Aren't they all the same colour!
Ever hopeful  :( 8)

If it was flying free is it not possible one of the many birds of Prey on The Island took it?
I know it happened to a parrot belonging to a friend of mine in The UK it was on his terrace tethered to a perch, and a hawk attacked and killed it.

Hi there xx I saw a turquoise blue parrot flying around the swimming pool area at Atlantis Duna Park Hotel this week if that helps. Thanks
