The Charity Commission for England and Wales has stated that Jediism isn`t a “real” religion and, as such, cannot be registered as a charitable incorporated organisation.

A spokesman for the Church of England welcomed the decision and said, "Jediism is based on a bunch of cobbled-together folklore and fantasy tales of battles between good and evil, and some of the characters have bizarre magical powers that defy the laws of logic and reason. You can't possibly expect a belief system based on that to be taken seriously."
