Free loan of mountain bikes

Does anyone have any use for a couple of mountain bikes for a few months?  One is a ladies and the other is a gents bike.  They aren't particularly modern but they have lights, good tyres and brakes.  They will reliably get you back from dinner if you have been enjoying a drink!

We could collect them in November or December.  And if you like them, you can have them back again in February for the rest of the year!   Corralejo preferred but not essential.

Thanks Tara!  But it would suit us too because the bikes need a new home during the 9 months of the year when we are not there.   So it`s much better that someone gets some use out of them and keeps them ticking over too.  A kind of win win for both of us!

If they have lights, I'm afraid they are not suitable for use in Corralejo 
What they do need are heavy chains and padlocks

They come with locks.  We must have just been lucky for the last 10 years

I should point out that the penalties for drunk cycling are the same as drunk driving.

"a drink" can put you over the limit. I'm not moralising, just saving people several hundred euros in fines and possible jail.

Thanks for the good advice :-)  Even "drunk walking" can be an offence if you are being disorderly ;-)  The beauty of cycling is that you cannot lose your driving licence.  Obviously we are not recommending riding while drunk, just perhaps after having a drink with your meal.

I just wanted to say that this is a great idea and a generous offer.
We also have a couple of bikes locked away and deteriorating. They need oiled, cleaned and used regularly to keep them useful.
Maybe we will try this when we leave next.
