Just watched the latest in the new series on channel 4, not Fuerte, but South of Tenerife. Had a feeling from early on in the programme that the couple were just having a freebie week, and they loved the last place they were shown but decided against buying as they would not be able to rent it out on short term lets!!!! and they didnt know this before they went haha

How unlucky for them to find a honest lawyer and or estate agent or was it someone else who told them the truth?

The presenter mentioned at the start of the program that you could only do short term holiday lets in certain licensed complexes and no more licenses are being issued. Also that the authorities are clamping down on people illegally renting properties.

Watched the end of the program today. At the last property it was quite clear the bloke was having extreme difficulty in finding any fault with the property and therefore a reason that they could give for not buying.
