Anyone know where the current times for this service are on t'internet?  Last I heard it left Morro at 10.00 and 14.00 but you never know if that is current

PS Where is the bus station in Morro Jable?

Hi Spike, this is all I have found, Tripadvisor

We used local bus 4 x 4. Leaves 10am & 2pm from Marro Hable Bus Station - â,¬2.50 each way (does pick up at the harbour as well but remember only 21 seats on bus). A very scenic journey but on unmade road. Beach lovely white sand but no shade and sea has bad undercurrents (no life guards). 1.5 km walk up to Cofete Winters villa worth a look but read up on history before going. Only 1 small restuarant with the only toilet in village and nice Spanish menu.

Link to bus station (it looks a bit out of the way)

The new Guaguas Estacion is in Barranco del Ciervo (to the right as you approach the last roundabout passed the football ground). The times marked as 'el Muelle' arrive/depart from the Harbour. The bus usually, but not always, parks up opposite the Quayside 'el Muelle' Cafe.

Thanks all, I'm doing a piece for Fuertextra in next months edition. I'll precis it here soon. Meantime yes the bus leaves at 10am and 2pm from the BUS station. It goes to the harbour and the cemetery where there is easy parking. Fantastic round trip for 5 Euros. Don't miss it!

For the record it is Morro Jable. Jandia is one of the few natural wilderness areas left in Europe (for the purpose of this comment), chosen by Ridley Scott for the film Exodus, and one of the reasons UNESCO offered the island biosphere status. I put the view of Cofete and the mountains up there with places like the Grand Canyon.

I think that I will take my chances in a rental car. Yes, I know that you are on your Jack Jones if things go pear shape but I found the track has improved when I used it last year. I don't fancy the idea of a bus with no guaranteed ride home.
For the record, the first rule of Cofete club, is that you do not swim at Cofete club. Don't be tempted. even if you see others doing it.  Not sure what fee Ryanair charge for transporting a body bag home, but I am willing to bet that your return ticket wont cover it

Get cremated and go home in a carrier bag for free. You might even get a refund on your ticket

Good effort Admin but no sign of Morro Jable to Cofete.  Must try harder!

re Car Hire, check the T & C' s of the hire company. Many do not permit off  road journeys and charge big bucks if you need rescuing from an off road place like Cofete.

As I said, you are on your Jack Jones if things go wrong.  A passing German might help you out, as they enjoy things like that.
If you really want to chance your arm & the under tray of your vehicle, head down to the Playa Juan Gomez, the turn off is near the Cofete junction. I fell down the cliff last time I was there, it hurt a bit & ruined my shirt
