CiCar...Tough times??

I don`t queue to return the keys, I just put them in the envelope provided by Cicar and chuck them over the desk. As for the queues when collecting a car, I have never seen them as bad as Archer 101 describes, I hope things settle down a bit for when I go next.

I have used Cicar for the last ten years and never had a problem until now I was in Caleta last week and the car I had a Corsa was nearly new but no one knew there was a problem with the central locking I locked the car when I parked at the sand dunes when I came back the glove box was open and my camera and raybans were missing I checked the doors and found the rear offside door did not lock I reported the theft to the police and went back to Cicar to tell them what happened the girl on the desk said she thought the problem with the door had been fixed the manager said he did not know there was a problem the upshot of this was I was told the insurance would not pay for the items stolen because it was my responsibility to check that the doors were all looked the manager said all he could do was upgrade my car next time I rented from them I am certain there will not be a next time

Booked a 4 door Astra and got a bigger Leon Automatic with 3,000 km on the clock, great car - my own car (2 months old) seems quite sluggish now

we went to pick our car up last week from the caleta office, only to be told that our car wasn't ready and could we come back in an hours time.
No problem we said, we then returned to be told that the car with a half tank of fuel was free and to return it empty on its return to the airport.
Happy days!! And a big thanks to cicar...
Oh and by the way, the car was a brand new corsa in a gripping cage fighter yellow..

It seems that there are a few complaints in August and around tge turn of the year, but virtually none at less busy times. They clearly have to bring out their "walking wounded" cars to cope with demand at those times, and staff can be a bit stressed. They still seem to me (who never hires a car but reads reviews) to be a very reasonable company, along with a few other local ones. I only hire in other countries and wish I could use CICAR there.

Week before last I hired an 8 seater minibus from the Caleta office for 2 days. The young lady gave me a price of 168 euro but said go online and book it will be cheaper as the town based offices do not discount their prices, she was right I saved a tenner. When I took it back I asked for the cost for 7 days in October she again said book via the internet Office price 538 euros tinternet 325 euros Appy Days
