I open Photobucket, pick which photo, a box appears on the right, LEFT click on the bottom row, a yellow box copying appears, go back on the forum, RIGHT click, then paste.

I hope this is helpful.

Someone let us both know if there is an easier way please.

p.s. I have only just got rid of my flying birds and slate and chisel !!!!!!!!!

Have a read of this    http://www.fuerteventura-forum.com/index.php?topic=16296.0   :)
Hi deso, does not quite give enough specific info for Photo bucket. It's a bit general.

Upload your image to www.imageshack.us

Then just copy / paste the URL into Forum post. Been using it for 5 years on the Forum no probs.

When in Photobucket, find the 'Share' links and copy the 'Direct' one.  In your post, click on 'Insert Image' icon, under the capital 'B' and paste your share link in between the 2 IMG icons  that appear in your post.  :D

Voila!

But what if he doesn't want to post a pic of an Atlan apartment?

Deso

In that case, he will have to try a different link.  ;)

The question is, how do you know it is an Atlan apartment?   8)

This is the problem with Photobucket. It's not private, anybody can see your account and go into your photos. Just right click a picture and copy the URL. You can see your whole album  :o
That's why I stick with Image Shack.

HelenR

Change your settings on photobucket then to private  ::)

woe10

Ahh, it's 5 years since I used Photobucket, I don't think that feature was there then. Anyway, click the little padlock, top left, and you get this below. But I think you have to do it for each Album.

Brightspark

Easy to see private albums on Photobucket :D

woe10

Yep, Brightapark. I just tried one with the private setting, and a right click still revealed the source  :-X

Ole Man River

Thanks everyone for all the above. 8)
Will try it again a bit later today- brain not quite in gear yet, too early! ::)

Every day is a school day, as they say. I just had a quick look at Imageshack but the free one doesn't seem to allow re-sizing, other than thumbnails.

Infestation:- this is some of what we get the most in our garden & up the community Garden too.
It's called Spiralling White Fly.

The White Fungus which is affecting many of the plants & trees is caused by the lack of rain for the last 2 years. It thrives in dry, hot windy conditions & is an airborne fungus. So a real problem here for us. An effective way to deal with it is to cut off all branches where the fungus has caused them to turn black. Then spray the fungus off the branches which still remain green, with a power spray hosepipe. This will have to be repeated for several days. Burn branches or leaves affected or bag up tightly for the bin men.
There is no guarantee that it won't come back again.
We are hoping this winter we shall get "ENOUGH RAIN"  - but we feel that, rather like, the cockroaches, it will always be here to a greater or lesser extent. :'(

Sallbag777 - Hi- your tree;
We noticed the fungus about 2 months ago. Dave removed the lower/ worst affected branches. We washed the remaining branches as best we could.
It is a shame as the tree was really doing well 'til then.
The chemical we used is "Compo Natural Azufre Fungicida Antiodio" - bought from Euro Spar.
Esty is correct, but the tap water does at least keep the plants alive.  8) 8) 8)

We have found that Happy Plants at Tefia supply the best, well cared for plants, that are suitable for growing here.

Although the word "Atlan" is in the photo URL,  that didn't mean anything to me.  I reverse searched the photo and found the Atlan website, then saw the pic, so knew it was in an Atlan apartment.

Deso

Well, all in all, this has been quite an educational post, from gardening to image hosting.  :D

Nice apartment as well.   ;D

Next some info.

This tree is an Araucaria. The pesticide we get from Happy Plants treats Cochineal and Mosca Blanca, with a separate mix for the white fly eggs.

Postimage.org is a good site for hosting pictures, it's anonymous as hell or add an extension to your browser
assuming your not using ÊŽddɐɹÉ" IE then lookup addons for lightshot:

Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/lightshot-screenshot-tool/mbniclmhobmnbdlbpiphghaielnnpgdp?hl=en

Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/lightshot/

This allows a screenshot of a selected area or whole page.

I've just come to this thread - thanks everyone for answering the question.

Ole Man River

Morning All!
Thanks again to everyone who contributed. 8)

Not quite sure about my Photo bucket access but it doesn't appear to show my details? Anyway it was Public & is now Private, not that we have anything worth worrying about on it.

Tamara, thanks for yours.
Looked up the Tree & I see it is related to the Monkey Puzzle Tree, which we had in the UK. Small world then!

Now all we have to do is get everyone to pray for some rain this winter, please? ;D    8) 8) 8)

Right click photo and copy URL.

PS, It's illegal to put Palm Leaves in the Public Basura in the street.. They have to be disposed of professionally. Then treat the stubs with special insecticide paint.

Ole Man River

Yes , we know woe. It's the Canarian Palm, not the one in our photo.

We never dispose of any plants or leaves without due care.

We are gardeners who do care! 8) 8) 8)
