ITV ( car inspection ) SMS Notification

I've just received an SMS reminder from INFO:ITV de FUERTEVENTURA,
that my car ITV runs out next week.
Is this something new, has anybody else had one of these.

i got one too, can't remember if i got notification last year, got my car tested yesterday, no need to pre-book, i allway's go straight to the test centre, never had a prob. better still went thru' with "flying colour's", happy day's for another yr.
