Be carefull, saying anything good about Ryanair on this forum could get you a lot of stick from the ABR mob.

Mr Boo Boo

A couple of years back T/C wanted to charge me £120 for transfers for four people from the airport to Caleta..
I kindly declined the offer and travelled as usual by taxi (€12 for the four of us).

That was very nice of them.

Interesting - I wondered about it when I went to Portugal recently, but the coach put you down miles from my hotel and they wouldn't give any guarantee of a seat, even when pre-booked. That's not too bad on the way to the hotel - you're in the right place for a taxi, after all; but it would be too stressful for me for the way back to the airport to be dashing around in an unknown city trying to get a taxi to meet a deadline.

Where do they drop in Corralejo?

I used to switch my transfer to a private taxi rather than a coach when i used to book at the travel agents in years gone by - same price for a P.T. as the coach but a lot less hassle and quicker........

Mr Boo Boo

When we went in April last, we jumped in a taxi and arrived / checked into the hotel within ~ 15 minutes, 1 1/2 hours later whilst walking back from the local supermarket we saw the T/C arrive at the hotel.... crazy !

Paddster, you and me would probably get a free transfer but the window has closed I think.

Seems they had spent an hour searching the airport for some missing passengers, who had tuned out to have jumped into a taxi & cleared off without telling the rep.  ;D ;D ;D

 >:( no didn't purchase the transfers) Guess the delay was down to people having to wait for luggage etc ,mind you T/C kindly and for a small fee of £5  per case per trip allow you to have priority off loading of cases so no waiting around the carousel
