We are returning to FUE next year! yippeee! were going to try something new and then thought, nahhhhh go where you know you love it and is perfect for all concerned.  We love Caleta and want peoples opinions on either of the above.  Just not sure which to pick, they both look nice and not sure if anyoneon here has stayed at either.

We are a family of four with 2 teen girls, who like it quiet at night, so we can sleep and no noisy neighbours (obviously cant totally control that).  Nice  clean pool and safe complex.  Can anyone offer any comments so we can book in the next few days please?

Many thanks in advance :)

our two favourite apartments are amuley mar and la gaudia.we prefer la gaudia, but amuley mar has the edge on swimming pools.amuley mar 1 has a heated pool.never stayed in esmerelda.jon who owns the flower of scotland has two apartments in esmerelda, and we looked around one of the apartments last year, looks a nice complex.

Looking forward to the day I tick the "One way only" box when booking flights to Fuerte. [:)]

Whereabouts is la gaudia please? I will take a look there too, thank you

lionfish

La Gaudia is opposite Esmeralda and on the same road as Amuley Mar 1 & 2.
With teenage girls I think you will find the second bedroom in Esmeralda to be very small and in most apartments it is only divided from the kitchen/living room by bar type shutters offering no privacy for the girls.
I would definitely concentrate on La Gaudia or Amuley Mar 1 & 2 where you have the option of 3 bedrooms if required and perhaps be influenced by your swimming pool requirements.

I have a place on Esmeralda with 2 bed rooms we regularly are 4 adults and have no problem with 2nd room size. It is a nice quite complex. Only downside is the pool is not heated and in winter can be cold  ::)

was just about to answer your post when lionfish beat me to it.the atlan apartments are worth a look as well.they are situated opposite the barcello hotel.we stayed there last easter and were well impressed.two bed two bathrooms.downstairs, lounge, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom with twin beds.upstairs double bed and bathroom, and good sized terrace.large terrace downstairs as well.deso was that impressed he bought one to move over and live in.worth a look.whatever you decide, have a good holiday, hope this info has been helpful. 8)

Hi we are staying at the Esmeralda hotel again in October. Great position, quiet in the evenings, gorgeous beaches on the doorstep. Can't recommend it enough! Enjoy your holiday wherever you decide.

rich and tina.i think you are talking about the esmerelda hotel in costa calma.we are discussing the esmerelda apartments in caleta de fuste. :)

Hi All, thanks so much or the replies!  I will take a look at all suggestions, many thanks.  We ideally are looking for a two bed BUT because i have a hubby whose snores would wake the dead, we need another option of a sofa bed in the lounge or similar that i could boot him on to, should the beer and sun get too much and the walrus sound wakes the neighbours! lol seriously hes not that bad...well errr lets just say thank god we at home are detached!

Anyway, all joking aside, we stayed at Las Arenas last year, loved the area it was in and the fact that our local (Dog and Duck) was down the road made it a short walk home.  Also i like that side of Caleta to stay, away from the noise and i hope im right in assuming, all aforementioned apartments are on that road? or am i totally wrong?  Thanks again for all your help and if the chap above who owns one on Esmerelda wouldnt mind sending me some pics if he has a "snoring" option for hubby that would be brill! :) many thanks again guys :)

denboy

yes, they are all on that road.amuley mar 1 and 2 are nearer to the dog and duck than las arenas.you must have walked past them on the way to the dog and duck. :)
