Another nice bar/restaurant for anyone knocking around the Lajares area.  Pretty good food and friendly staff.

I agree, we always call in when we are in the Lajares area. Excellent range of snacks and drinks.

As we stayed over at my mates rented Villa one night, we ate in here and can confirm the meals were excellent and good value.

The portions were enormous, especially the sweets!

Oh and they also make excellent Mojito's

You'll have to try their slow roast pork shoulder on Foccacia bread. You will need to be hungry to finish it all!!

Thanks for the tip. Will mark that down for my next visit. Canela Cafe is getting more than its fair share of exposure here but if you have a sweet tooth try their desserts. Artery clogging proportions.

After a hard day at the beach we called in around 6pm for some food and a couple of drinks.

We had a selection of the starters on the menu rather than full meals.

They were freshly prepared and tasted great and good size portions as well. The staff were friendly and attentive.

It looks as if they had done some work to the place since our last visit with new furniture instead of wooden benchs.

Not tried a main course yet but still got a weeks holiday left to try.

Worth a visit if you are at this end of the island.

Well as we were staying in the village, we couldn't wait to re visit the Canella Cafe to sample their Mojitos and of course their lovely food.

We called in on day in the afternoon and ordered up a couple of Mojitos! Wished we hadn't! It was rubbish, very little taste, very little Bicardi, mint.

Ok we thought as they had had a change of staff (thats another story !!) we decided we would try the cocktails when having dinner. We did and they were the same, even though they were made by a different person. Food while ok, was a drop in standard from last year.

Don't know whats going on in there, but its not working too well. According to us that is! Others might find it better or as good, but not based on our experience.

Went back to the Canela Cafe to see if it has got any better, than that last experienced last August.

Glad to say the food at least! was of a good quality for the four different meals we had and was well cooked/presented.
So perhaps it was a bad day at the office last year, but it does seem to be getting better.

Will nip in again when next over to check lol

K

Went in tonight afer a glorious beach day. Didnt recognise any of the staff this time. We had four starters (as the main meal) and four drinks came to 31 euro. Food was good as it was last time we came here last year. Service was nice as well. Glad we popped back. Will go in again after another beach day in the next week.

Went in a couple of times this week and glad to say all meals and drinks excellent. Good singer/musician again which all together provided for a very nice evening.
