Swedish Olympic hopefuls for Rio in 2016 are to train in Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura - 01.05.2013 - A deal reached with the sport-oriented Playitas Resort in Tuineje will see up to 250 athletes, coaches and doctors spend periods on the island for warm-weather training camps, beginning in January of next year. The news has delighted the island's tourism authorities, who say the presence of the Swedish athletes will give the island significant visibility in the Scandinavian country's media.
