Hello
Is Easyjet tough on hand baggage sizing ?

lionfish

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
I would definitely stick to the sizes given on their website as penalties are tough.

I have no experience of Easyjet myself - I'm sure some others will be able to tell how they got on.  But these days we tend to play it safe with all airlines as the result of breaking the rules can be expensive.  The only exception would be if we were close on the weight but knew we could always wear some of it!

Although you have to adhere to the physical size of the bag you can put as much weight in as you can handle. Their criteria is (or was last time I travelled with them) that ou had to be able to lift it into the overhead locker yourself, without assistance from the cabin crew. It's amazing just how much you can pack in when ou don't have to worry about the weight  ;D Normal rules apply regarding liquids etc

We flew with Easyjet from Bristol to Fuerteventura on wednesday and they did not look at our hand baggage at check in or at the gate if its within the size limits you will not have any problem.

Had a lengthy discussion with easyjets helpline....in India.... Not much progress made there ! ::)

Never had a problem with baggage sizes in the UK, but have seen people asked to put their hand luggage in the rack to see if it complies in both Fuerteventura and Majorca

Just flown back with them yesterday, no problems either way with size of hand luggage. Have seen them stop people at Liverpool in the past though, if their bag looks too big. That said they certainly arnt fussed to the odd inch or two.

When I flew out of Fuerte last spring, every passenger had to drop their bag into the measuring box. In September, they didn't look at any bags. Out of Bristol I've never seen them check bags.

The bag size is bigger with Sleazy than with other airlines; I bought cases especially with their limits in mind. Argos do one cheaply quite closely within the limit.
