Hi all

We've been here a few times and I've had a massage a couple of times. I always sunbathe naked round the naturist pool but have always had a massage with my bikini bottoms on. I would prefer to be nude for a massage, but just wondered if this is deemed to be acceptable there? Has anyone ever stripped off completely for a massage at this hotel (either male or female as my hubby would prefer to have a naked massage too)? We are heading back there this year and would like to know the etiquette before we get there.

Thanks
Lucy

PS only sensible answers required please!

Beachboy, what happens with a nude massage on the beach as in getting excited, know what I mean?

I would imagine that you would have your back and shoulders massaged a lot [:D][;)]

Now us ladies ........ [;)][;)]

Never had a beach massage so unable to answer. It would be fair to say that the massage girls at the hotel are alot better looking but the massages are just massages[:D][:D]

A bit late to reply to the original question, but I've only just found and joined this forum and I have the same question about the Fuerteventura Princess spa massages and was wondering if you have any update following your latest stay at the Princess?

I did go naked there for a massage there last year, although I was covered by one of the spa sheets. I didn't know what the protocal was, but as I had booked a full body therapeutic massage I assumed I would probably be naked under towels, so as we had been sunlounging by the nudist pool I just wrapped my towel round me to go for the massage. The masseuse made no effort to step outside whilst I got on the table (as is the norm here in the UK), so I just dropped my towel and got on the table naked whilst she stood by with the spa sheet which she then draped over me.

She was completely unconcerned by this, (the spa as you know is right next to the naturist area and pool so the spa girls are used to seeing naked guests!),  but I hadn't the courage to ask if the spa towel was really necessary during my massage.  The massage I should add was professionally carried out with "modesty" preserved at all times, and was just a massage, a very good one.

We are going back to the Fuerteventura Princess at the end of April this year, so it would good if Lucy or anyone else on the forum has any up to date information on what is and isn't acceptable.

I would also be interested to know any further detail as we are heading there in May and are wondering if it is acceptable for males and females to be naked for the massage?

Thanks

Not strictly on topic, but if you want a naturist massage when back in the UK I can recommend the Clover Spa Hotel http://www.cloverspa.co.uk/ in Birmingham from personal experience.
You can enjoy it as a day visitor as well as staying there overnight.

Naked or clothed, I wouldn't let one of these beach chancers anywhere near my back. Just because the are oriental looking, does not make them physio experts.

Magoo,

We're actually talking about the staff and protocol in the Fuerteventura Princess spa in this thread, not the wandering beach massage people.

I have tried one of the beach orientals though and had a decent massage (and that's all) from her.

I have trained and have real diplomas in massage. I would not do a proper massage to a client I knew nothing about on the beach! I suspect some people here are thinking of erotic stimulation not massage. Different.

Ha, yes sadly the more posts I read on this forum the more I realise there will always be a risk of hijack by some who consider nakedness must always lead to stimulation of some kind.

I was genuinely just looking for some sensible feedback on the etiquette for the hotel spa before our next visit there.

If anyone is still interested in the original question about the FP spa massages, then the answer for me this year was - yes.

I plucked up the courage this time to ask the therapist if I would be able to remain naked during the massage, without the usual drapes. I thought she looked a little surprised, but immediately said "OK no problem", put down the large towel she was holding and gave me my booked full body massage whilst we happily chatted about all sorts of things. Very pleasant experience.

From memory I think the full body was about €60 and it lasted about an hour. There is a wide range of options starting from about €30 I think, and they usually have a package deal at a discount if you book 3 treatments. You had to pay direct at the spa when we were there, it wasn't possible to charge to your hotel account. I guess it's run as a separate concession.
