You're best talking to a vet about this. You will need  an EU ÄŽog passport (blue one) and all vaccinations including Rabies, up to date.

Or, speak to Woodside Cargo in El Matorral, they specialise in transporting animals to and from the UK.

Thank you for your replies, I am aware of the paperwork needed and which airlines fly dogs to the Canaries, I just wondered if anyone had actually returned with a dog to the UK

To or from the Canaries?¿  The documentation requirements have recently changed for entry to the UK with personal effects and pets.  There are UK VAT implications!!

We recently saw a large dog board an Air Europa flight to Madrid. Not sure where he sat or whether he had a boarding card! Hope he didn't sit on a sit.

Yes, flew a dog back to the UK a few times from Fueter, if you are savvy with the passport paperwork, you would normally go to the VET 24 hrs prior to flying to get a Fit to Fly certificate, you will also need to visit your transport customs firms rep in Rosario for all of the necessary official export paperwork. Average cost of it all including VET, Customs etc is £500 approx. We flew with Thompsons or Monarch into Manchester. Manchester are really good with looking after the dogs welfare, they really make an effort, hope the info is of some help.
