Hi All

Can anyone advise me where there are nurseries please ?

We're in Caleta ,

Many thanks

Rich000

Up to Rosario, around the ring road left on the road that goes to crematoria, left again can't remember exactly where (Tesjuetes???) although I could find it if going, but some one on here will be able to give precise instructions. But good place. Or Happy Plants but that is further away

Depends what you are looking for.  There is a plant stand outside the Chinese shop at El Matorral, just up from Ikea, and another just opposite Ikea along from the petrol station. Quite a lot of choice in both considering neither are  a huge nursery and reasonable prices.

There is a huge nursery/garden centre on the junction between the PDR ring road and the road towards La Oliva etc. Go right around the roundabout as if heading back towards the airport, then turn right off the slip road onto a dirt road. Follow it back round and into the garden centre. Alternatively, if coming from the la Oliva direction, turn in just before the service station. Excellent stock of plants etc.

There is a very good one in Tefia North West of the Island, about 25 mins from Caleta, has everything you could wish for from Plastic/ceramic pots to any plant including virtually full grown trees, and he is very knowledgeable, as to what will and will not grow on certain parts of the Island, but he is very expensive.

Hi Caza

Whilst a bit of a drive we can highly recommend Happy Plants, Paul is a real font of knowledge and has a great passion for plants and will advise the best for what you want.

These are the plants we got from him -

The plants that Happy Plants sells are raised here on Fuerteventura.
Most sell plants from Tenerife which are not up to the strong Fuerteventura winds andthe hot and dry climate

Another vote for Happy Plants!
Check out their website for opening hours and directions:

You do turn off a 'main' road onto a dirt track which you follow for 100? metres, perhaps more, and then bear sharp right with the track and their gates are along there on the right. You can't really see the garden centre from the 'main' road. There is normally a 'Happy Plants' vehicle parked at the point you need to turn off at, sometimes a van, sometimes a mini ............

Yet another vote for happy plants. friends of ours took a scale drawing of their garden, showing compass points, and Paul "drew in" which plants would suit. When plants were delivered, they simply used the drawing as the plan for planting exactly where Paul advised. also good idea to take a soil sample (plant pot full) as Paul will advise on how best to improve it. simple but effective.
