Can anyone enlighten me on the correct way to fill in a spanish form/air ticket/application ???
The format always reads   NAME    FIRST SURNAME      SECOND SURNAME , and to me this has led to confusion at check-in cos I've assumed the surname is my surname, & I've only got one, but 2 "christian/first" names :o
So how would I fill in a form for JOHN FRED BLOGGS for instance?
Any help appreciated 8) ;D

I woul enter John as christian name Fred as first surname and Bloggs as second surname, it always works for me, but be aware I have a middle name which sounds like it is a surname!

true story here, when our little one was born there we didn't give her a middle name in part because of this very problem!
Spanish paperwork and British names are a nightmare.

i think the way the spanish put their name's is ......first name first, second name is their mother's maiden name, third name then is the surname ..........they take it that our's is the same way.

My experience so far is that even when you fill in your name correctly on the form they still get it wrong nine times out of ten  ;D

Wrong again Spark  :D
First name, fathers surname ((apellido paterno), mothers surname (apellido materno) e.g. Sparky Mydad Mymommy.
If you and your wife (Goldylocks Herdaddy Hermum) have a kid, it will be called Brat Mydad Herdaddy
he was correct in what names were involved, only the placement was incorrect.

Again no intention to insult you Spark.

I don't think however hard you try you'll ever put a British name into their format and get it displayed correctly.
If unfortunately it does cause issues then that's bad luck, but I went ages with my middle name being my first name.

Chance your arm would be my advice.
