Just seen a really terrible accident between two cars looked like it was a head on crash on the way from jandia to the airport approx 35km from the airport the driver of one of the cars looked in a bad way and was still in the vehicle I really hope everyone is ok if anyone hears anything let me know it brings home how dangerous overtaking can be :(

There was one on the same stretch last week. You'll find that some Spanish drivers just have to be in front, and will risk all to be there.

We usually have bets on how far we will get from the airport before we are overtaken by a taxi. As a rule it's before we get to the salt museum

The road between Gran Tarajal and Caleta has been upgraded but this has made this a very fast road. 120 to 140 kph is not unusual and that's just the Tiahde Directo bus!! Drive with caution

Sounds awful, two children involved too. From my experience they at least getting the best treatment available, let's pray the older lady is OK

But I'm sure you'll agree that not all the bad driving or dangerous overtaking is caused by Spanish drivers. And the nationalities involved in this one are unknown at the moment, AFAIK.
