Good news for house sellers.I visited Fuerteventura Residences yesterday to look at upgrading my apartment in Caleta .They advised me how fast houses are selling in this area and Costa de Antigua .Most of the bank repossessions have now been sold so sellers are getting nearer the asking price.Fuerteventura residences have clients waiting to buy.So if you are looking to sell this is a good time.

Yeah, right! You actually believe an Estate Agent.....and one in Fuerteventura.
There are bucket loads of repo's still to shift. They haven't even scratched the surface.

Don't be so negative archer101 - I have been helping a chap who is really keen to buy on our complex and there are not many for sale at the moment and prices are favourable.  PMI - positive mental attitudde :)

This is true on our complex in Caleta. Now that pretty much all the reposessions have been sold, demand for property has really increased over the last 12 months. Prices have gone back up and there is now a waiting list at Fuerteventura Residences to buy on the complex. No doubt boosted by the recent fall of the euro as well, making everything cheaper. Most of the recent buyers have been British.

I'm not being negative, just a realist. We've been looking for sometime & the bank sites literally have thousands. On the new developments in Caleta they are slowly moving some and you are right to feel confident these will be sold.
Across the island, away from Caleta, the reductions are still coming thick and fast.
Unfortunately, I cannot see a day when all will be sold - they just built too many. Fact.
Just take a look up the mountain and count the unfinished blocks. Sorry.

What sites do you use re bank repo's....

Archer

Solvia, Altamira, Bankiahabitat, Servihabitat, Rincon, Ventaembargos etc...
In Caleta they seem to concentrate on one or two Urbanisations at a time, and when they discount them down the prices are good. Buy direct for the best discounts.  ;)

Purchase prices may be cheaper but how about service charges and other monthly overheads are they going down too?

Don't forget many bank repos are unfinished properties and are sold "as seen" so make sure you know how much you are going to have to spend to make the property habitable
