the uktelly people are getting bbc itv etc. from another satellite I would be interested to get some info from someone with this type system I see they supply a technomate receiver.
I have a fortech star, passion+ receiver I am bringing out to FV which has 2 cam slots so I have questions like

does this box require a cam and some sort of decoder card?
which satellite is it on ?
codes,,how do u put them in, and how often are you having to put new codes in?

This would be the Intelsat 907 at 27.5 West. It has BBC1,2 3 and 4, ITV 1 and Channel 4 plus a couple of others.
It is encoded in BISS and with the right box, can be viewed in Fuerte using a 1.2m dish.
It may not last much longer due to more and more people using it, particularly Southern Spain, Portugal and the Canaries. They have changed the code twice so far in the last couple of weeks whereas it used to be around every 4 months. The new code is usually available, if you know where to look, within a couple of hours of it being changed.
There are suggestions that the encryption may well be 'beefed up' in the near future but no hard evidence as yet.

Looking forward to the day I tick the "One way only" box when booking flights to Fuerte. [:)]
