We drove through Rosario (intentionally) and saw some of them.

Well done, but really over-americanised. We'd have preferred to see some work that's more relevant to the area.

Also, too many. Thay lose impact when it's overdone. Maybe 50 or so scattered around in carefully selected places would work better.

A great contrast to the ones in Gran Tarajal - both are fantastic attempts to add life and activity to our town streets. Visitor I take to Gran Tarajal think they are wonderful

Not as I know too.  It's a case of wandering around.

There is a map available at the Tourist Office for the 'Statue' walk around Puerto.

I know the location of a few.
The dinosaur one is on the road between Lidl and Las Rotondas
The superhero one is at the goat's head roundabout as you enter Puerto from the north.
The girl watering the plant is two blocks down the hill from the entrance to Las Rotondas.
The American street is on the same street (parallel to the sea) as the girl watering the plant
There's an abstract one opposite the entrance to Las Rotondas

A mural is being painted in Antigua on the side of the Farmacia (it's a mural of the Farmacia); and one has been started in El Matorral.

Serious climb down here. Spent a lot of time in Puerto last week or so and have to say the murals looked far better in the flesh than the forum pictures portrayed. I'm converted .They fit into the look of the town. Not sure how it fits in with the 5 star look that the authorities seem to crave but then again..who cares?.. Apologies  to all who talked them up. You were right and I was very wrong.

I stayed a couple of days once in a town called Katikati in New Zealand which certainly attracts a lot of visitors to its murals. Once upon a time it had had immigrants from Northern Ireland who brought their tradition of painting murals with them. Happily, they chose local history themes for their works rather than conflict between christian sects. I was particularly impressed with one garage which had a depiction on the side wall of how it had looked in the 1930s.

Anyway, this is the one I liked best of the few I saw in Puerto.

It's true, you really need to see them in situ to appreciate them. Photos don't work.
We found the same thing with the Shard in London recently. On tv or in pics it look odd, especially the jagged tip.
In real life, it just cuts into the sky, whether it's cloudy or blue (and we were lucky to see both skies on the day we were there).

Still think there's too many and too american, though.

We did manage to get a good look at all the wall art in El Cotillo. They're ginormous photo prints pinned to the walls rather than murals

I couldn't get it all in , it's too long. ( I'd better re-phrase that ). Erm, I'll have to get a shot from the other side of the road. At the time there were too many cars parked at the kirbside.
