Moving over next month, whats best for TV??

Hi, i am moving to the island next month and was wondering if anyone could advise me whats best and easiest to get?? I know i can go through europa and that seems easy to orginise, however, would it be better to wait and get a dish when over there as i am now particularly fussed about a broadband connection, but if thats the onlt way then i will go with that??
Hope someone can maybe drop me some helpfull hints??

It depends on what programs you want to watch? Assuming you would like BBC,ITV etc then a dish is no good to you as the new satellites that are coming in to play can't be picked up without a 3.5 to 4 metre dish.

UKTVTelly.com do a system that you can receive via their set top box and an aerial.

If you have a subscription you can get most Sky channels with a 1.2 metre dish.

Thanks 4 the advice, don't really fancy a dish anyway as renting an apartment so gona try the uk telly option, c how it works out 4 price?

UKTV are not taking any new contracts at the moment due to them trying to sort out channels etc after the satelite change over, their engineers are still working on it.

From what i have looked at and read, i am best going with Europa if i want to get something arranged for me arriving. Can anyone advise me if they recken this is the best option? Just wanting a basic tv/phone line and broadband deal?

digital dave does an online sky 30 euros a month, great deal all programs available go on line enter his name its all there.

Shame you cant have Broadband - it is the only inexpensive and flexible option.

I'm getting 8.5 thinges plus phone line, calls, donuts, etc for about 35.00 Euros via Jazztel, then about 4.00 Euros for VPN and bobs my uncle

I'm a bit slow on this dish business;
so, if I have a sky subscription with a 1.2 metre dish, can I then get the bbc and itv channels, as these are supplied channels with Sky? or have I got it wrong?

The answer is not so simple, its yes and no.
Yes if you purchase a sat box that has been shall I say doctored, but it may last a year, a month or a day before it needs new encryption codes, if no codes available you are left with a brick, very expensive brick, it uses the Sky BackSat satelite.
No if you bring your Sky box over unless you have a 3.5 or 4 mtr disk.
Another option currently oiffered is another doctored box which offers lots of sky channels but it runs on the internet, plus it is illegal in UK possibly in Fuerteventura, plus there is a monthly subscription.

Hi again,
Looks like i am going to have to get something arranged when i arrive, i need to get something through an internet connection as wont be getting a dish(apt rental for 6 months). This is a bit problematic with me being a technophobe, so, does anyone have any ideas or think i will have to much of a problem sorting something out when i arrive in Caleta??
Im not realy wanting to be sitting with no tv/phone/broadband for a while when i arrive.
Hope someone can help?
