I just somehow knew you would be a Daily Mail reader. This incident had nothing to do with cycling, it was an  attack prompted by a criticism.

You can accuse me of many things, but never of being a Daily Mail reader. The only bit of the Daily Mail I read was what woe10 posted. Can you dispute the quote?
I stand by every word I wrote.

Any way back to the subject of plus car, I pick up my car this day 2 weeks, it will be my 3rd time to use them.  8) 8) 8)

Me too, it will be my 9th time. If you see anyone in a Skoda Fabia estate, or similar, running red lights and driving down the pavement, it will be me.
If it's good enough for cyclists, it's good enough for me.   ;D

Looking forward to the day I tick the "One way only" box when booking flights to Fuerte. [:)]

ZZ11 - in the US, unless the path is marked for cyclist like the "Strand" in Venice beach, bicyclists are to stay off the footpaths. In the LA area, we have a number of bicycle paths, one which is 40 km long and the other 60 km long. Makes for long rides without crossing roads and dealing with drivers who text, drive too fast, or cut off cyclists. (Unfortunately,  the paths are also pretty ugly as they follow concrete rivers like the LA river.)

Having been to Ireland, I'm not sure I would ride my bike there. When I was there 6 years ago, I found the roads filled with automobiles and without wide shoulders, i.e., areas on the road where cyclists aren't impeding the cars.

While bicycling on the roads in Fuerteventura, I found the vast majority of the riders to be courteous. I tried to make sure I stayed as far to the right as possible.  Most tourists in "PlusCar" like vehicles were very nice and kept space between the car and the bike. The taxis, driving way to fast, were more of a concern.

Just back from another week on the rock, arrived last Saturday morning, met the plus car reps at spence 531 in the public car park. Bit of a queue because there were some English and German punters ahead of me.

Everything was perfect, had one of these Fiat box type cars a bit like the Berlingo, and it was great. It was immaculately clean, 1/4 tank of fuel, and only cost €94.71 for the week.

Dropped it back this morning with a 1/4 tank of fuel, left parking ticket and keys under the mat.

Excellent service, as Arnie says, I'll be back.  :D
